materials shall conform to the following specifications or an approved
equal.
Pole shafts - ASTM A572, A588 or A871
Base Plate and attachment plates - ASTM
A36, A572, A588 or A871
Square rectangular tubing - ASTM
A501 or A500
Cross bracing - ASTM
A36, A572, A588, A871 or A53
Davit Arms - ASTM
A36, A572, A588 or A871
Shaft plate material which is to be galvanized is purchased with a
maximum silicone content of 0.06 percent.
Materials for pole and arm shafts, anchor bolts, structural plate,
and welding shall meet a minimum requirement of 15ft.-lbs. absorbed
energy at -20°F with the Charpy V-notch test as described in ASTM
A370.
Anchor bolt material shall conform to the following specification
unless otherwise requested by the customer:

Anchor bolts can be supplied unassembled or preclustered.
Connection bolts shall conform to the following specification or an
approved equal:

A325 with A563 DH or A194 grade @H heavy hex nuts.
