Responsibilities
  • Qualify leads for sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research
  • Build trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Report to the VP (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Complete request from potential client vendor list information requirements
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound efforts
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals

Support the company's Sales Team by creating, evaluating, and optimizing data from various sources. Conduct various daily activities that directly impact the effectiveness of the Sales Team thereby directly assisting in the increase of sales.

Requirements and Skills
  • Proven work experience as an Inside Sales Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Associate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience to include cities and municipalities
  • Travel when required
